An inspirational choir arrangement of a deeply moving and meaningful song, The Living Years.
Written by B.A. Robertson and Mike Rutherford of Mike + The Mechanics, this choral arrangement was commissioned in 2016 to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Royal Trinity Hospice. It is a song that resonates through the generations and will never fail to bring a tear to the eye in any performance. You can listen to the song performed by the original vocalist on the Mike + The Mechanics track, the wonderful Paul Carrack, in the video below.
This arrangement features a tenor soloist and SATB mixed-voice choir with divisi to spine tingling effect. It is perfect for a large community choir with an aspiring or accomplished male singer for the lead vocal. The final chorus splits 6 vocal parts into twelve for a separate outro, so in total there are 12 part-highlighted practice tracks available to download for your singers.
The complete backing track is available for download, or the music score includes piano accompaniment.
